Google has launched Street View in India to improve features in Google Maps

Google has launched its ‘Street View’ experience in partnership with Genesys International and Tech Mahindra
Miriam Daniel, vice president at Google Maps, said that this is the first time in the world the service will be handled completely by local partners
Street View will be available on Google Maps across ten cities in India covering over 150,000 km and will be expanded to more than 50 cities by the end of 2022
Tech Mahindra announced its partnership with local traffic authorities to help improve road safety and reduce traffic congestion
Now, Google Maps will show speed limits and traffic lights data which will be shared by the traffic authorities
Speed limits and traffic lights data feature will start from Bengaluru and later will be expanded to Kolkata and Hyderabad
Data collected by Tech Mahindra and Genesys will also help Google Maps to show roads, and infrastructure planning and provide an online presence to various businesses
