Edgewell Personal Care Company has recalled three batches of Banana Boat Hair & Scalp sunscreen sprays
The Company issued recall of its popular product after tests detected “traces of benzene,”
Benzene as “carcinogenic to human,” causes acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and blood disorders.
The benzene is only linked to the three batches mentioned in the advisory.
The affected sprays of the three batches have expiration dates of December 2022, February 2023, or April 2024.
No other batches of Banana Boat Hair & Scalp sunscreen sprays were affected by the recall
The Company is asking consumers, who have purchased the affected products, to dispose the products and contact for a refund.
