Bhupinder Singh passes away

Veteran singer Bhupinder Singh died on Monday at the age of 82 due to health issues

He is best known for his classics “Do Deewane Shaher Mein”, “Naam Gum Jayega" and "Hoke Majboor Mujhe Usne Bulaya Hoga

He also worked as a singer and composer at All India Radio, Delhi. During a party at All India Radio the musician Madan Mohan spotted him and called him to Mumbai

He sang his first Bollywood song for the film "Haqeeqat". He sang "Hoke Majboor Mujhe Usne Bulaya Hoga" with Mohammed Rafi, Talat Mahmood and Manna Dey

Bhupinder Singh sang his first solo track "Rut Jawan Jawan Raat Mehrbaan" composed by Khayyam in "Aakhri Khat"

Bhupinder Singh was also a guitarist. He played guitar in "Dum Maaro Dum", "Chura Liya Hai", "Chingari Koi Bhadke" and "Mehbooba O Mehbooba",
