Step-1- To change profile picture, login to your Facebook account and click/tap on your profile picture.

Step-2- Now your Facebook profile page will open in front of you. Here click on the icon of the camera given near the profile picture.

Step-3- On clicking, some options appear in which there is also an option of Update Profile Picture.

Step-4- By clicking on Update Profile Picture, your Facebook gallery opens. If you want, you can choose a photo from here or upload any other photo.

Step-5- After clicking on the photo, click on the save button.

Step-6- After saving your changed profile picture will appear like a post on your profile page itself. Now a globe icon appears just above it.

Step-7- On clicking on the icon of that globe, you will see many options. From these, click on the option of Only me.

Enable Profile Picture Guard on Facebook mobile phone app-

If you want to keep your profile picture safe using Facebook app on mobile phone, then follow the steps given below-

Step-1- Open Facebook app and tap on your profile.

Step-3- Many options will appear as soon as you tap on the camera icon. From these, tap on the option of Turn on Profile Picture Guard and then save the changes by tapping on the save button.

When Profile Picture Guard is enabled on your current profile picture, a blue border is formed around it and a shield symbol is also visible.

How to Add a Frame to Your Facebook Profile Picture

You can put different types of frames on your Facebook Profile Picture. For this follow the steps given below-

Step-1- Tap or click on your Facebook profile.

Step-2- Now tap on the camera icon near the Profile Picture.

Step-3- Many options are opened as soon as you tap, out of which tap on the option of Add Frame.

Step-4- Now tap on the frame of your choice from the given number of frames. You can also add other types of frames other than the given frame.

For this, enter your keyword in the search box given just above the frame list. According to your keyword, many frames start appearing.

To set Temporary Profile Picture on mobile phone app, follow the steps given below-

Step-1- Tap on your profile icon and tap on the camera icon near the profile picture.

Step-2- Now to change the profile picture, tap on the option of Select Profile Picture.

Step-3- Now select that photo from your phone which you want to set as Profile Picture.

Step-4- As soon as you tap on the photo, the option to save the profile picture will come. Tap on the Make Temporary option given on this page.

Step-5- As soon as you tap on Make Temporary, the option of time will come in which options of 1 hour, 1 day, 1 week and custom will be available.

Select the option as per your convenience and tap on the save button and in this way your Temporary Profile Picture will be set.

You can also apply Temporary Profile Picture in the computer’s browser by following the steps given above.

But the thing to note is that if you want to put a photo from your Facebook gallery as a Temporary Profile Picture then this option is not available.

Therefore, whenever you put a photo as a profile picture, it should be in your phone or computer and not in the gallery of Facebook.

You can also apply Temporary Profile Picture Frame by following the steps mentioned above.

Can I prevent Profile Picture from being cropped automatically?

The Facebook Profile Picture size suggested by Facebook is 170×170 pixels for computer pages and 128×128 pixels for smartphones.

When you upload a photo over this size to Facebook Profile Picture, it is automatically cropped by Facebook.

In this way some part of your photo is not visible in Profile Picture.

Many users are worried about this and look for ways to stop it. But right now there is no way that you can prevent the photo from being cropped.

Therefore, the correct way is to use the size recommended by Facebook as your profile picture i.e. 170×170 pixels for computer page and 128×128 pixels for smartphone.
